Florida AG opens antitrust, deceptive trace practices probe into proxy advisors

( March 20, 2025, 23:14 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier has launched an antitrust investigation into proxy advisors Glass Lewis & Co. and Institutional Shareholder Services Inc. for potential misrepresentations related to their Environmental, Social and Governance and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion investing policies. The AG alleges the two firms violated the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act and also engaged in possible unlawful collusion in adopting and enforcing these policies in violation of the Florida Antitrust Act of 1980.
