Copyright claims dismissed, but trademark claims survive in musicians' suit

( March 26, 2025, 10:10 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Vince Lawrence and 25 other plaintiffs were granted leave to amend their complaint against Rachael Cain, Sandyee Sherman, the estate of Larry Sherman, and Trax Records for a third time, following a dismissal without prejudice by US John J. Tharp, Jr. of the Northern District of Illinois of their claims of copyright infringement and fraud on the Copyright Office. Their allegations of fraud on the US Patent and Trademark Office and trademark infringement were held adequately pled to withstand the defendants' motion to dismiss.See attached document....
