IDDQD won't face laches defense in copyright row with Codeberry

( March 25, 2025, 10:10 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A request by Codeberry and its director Lee Paul Smith for leave to amend their defenses to allegations of copyright infringement and breach of contract by IDDQD Ltd., was denied. UK High Court Judge Richard Hacon said there was no error or abuse in discretion by Chancery Master Iain Pester in rejecting Codeberry and Smith’s claims of estoppel, waiver and laches by IDDQD, finding “no evidence of a relevant representation by” the software company “or of relevant reliance by the defendants.” See attached document....
