South Korea's Woori Card fined $9.2 million for unauthorized personal data use

The Personal Information Protection Commission today said its investigation revealed that between July 2022 and April 2024, Woori Card's Incheon Sales Center systematically accessed and misused the personal information of more than 200,000 merchant owners to drive credit card sales.
