Sensory opposes Google move to dismiss US antitrust claims over voice assistants

( March 26, 2025, 21:36 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Sensory told a US judge that Google's motion to dismiss its US antitrust claims alleging restriction of voice assistant competition does not address what Sensory has pointed to in its amended complaint: the court's finding that Google's exclusionary contracts have denied its rivals access to user search queries, and the allegation that Google used the same exclusionary contracts in the markets for wake words and voice assistants. Google argues lack of antitrust standing, but it "defies credulity that Google could buy wake words and voice assistant functionality from Sensory, develop its own competing products, require manufacturers to use Google’s version of those products, and then argue Sensory did not participate in those markets or that the markets are too ill-defined to support an antitrust action," Sensory said in its brief opposing dismissal.See attached file....
