UK software provider Advanced gets data breach fine halved

The ICO had planned to fine the company over 6 million pounds, according to its provisional findings published last year, but today it said “several factors” from Advanced’s representations led to a reduction in the final amount.Software and IT services provider Advanced has been fined just over 3 million pounds ($3.9 million) for a data breach that occurred in 2022 after reaching a no appeal agreement with the UK privacy regulator....
