Western Range Association, others file replies for dismissing US wage-fixing claims

( March 25, 2025, 23:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Western Range Association and ranch owners filed replies in support of their motions to dismiss a third amended US complaint accusing them of illegally suppressing wages, saying plaintiffs’ claims are not supported by facts. “The rules of economics have not been suspended, no antitrust conspiracy for sheepherder labor exists, and no such conspiracy has been plausibly alleged. Instead, the parallel activity of ranches is the product of an abundant supply of international sheepherder labor enticed by attractive wages, and no wage-fixing, nor any unreasonable restraint on transfers is occurring,” they said.See attached files....
