US trade court approves settlement with Commerce over fisheries rule

( March 25, 2025, 20:30 GMT | Official Statement) -- The US Court of International Trade today granted a joint request by the Commerce Department and National Marine Fisheries Service settling litigation over the delay of a federal marine mammal protection rule. The plaintiffs, including the Center for Biological Diversity and the Natural Resources Defense Council, sued last year over the delay of a 2016 rule expanding protections for marine mammals in seafood imports, arguing the rule was improperly implemented without a comment period.See attachment....
