( January 15, 2025, 00:06 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Patients affected by the 2024 data breach of Change Healthcare have filed a consolidated complaint alleging that Change put American consumers at risk by embarking on a plan to centralize a “vast amount of highly sensitive Personal Information” that covered one in three Americans, seeking “to retain and use it for one express goal: profit.” The plaintiffs say that while “Defendants held the Personal Information of over 100 million Americans, they failed to use even basic data security measures necessary to protect it.” See attached document....
