Czech porn sites ask EU court to block French rules on age-control for children

Today’s hearing stems from questions from France’s Council of State about the scope of the e-Commerce Directive’s rule that platforms — known as “information society services” — can’t be subject to stricter requirements than in the EU country in which that service provider is established.Two pornographic website operators based in Czechia told EU judges today that they shouldn’t be obliged to follow French rules that would require them to block children's access to their content....
