Barco fails to secure preliminary injunction against Yealink from UPC

( March 21, 2025, 17:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The UPC Brussels Local Division denied Barco NV a preliminary injunction against Yealink Network Technology Co. Ltd. and its European subsidiary. Barco sought provisional measures against Yealink, alleging infringement of European Patent 3,732,827. The court ruled that Barco did not show sufficient urgency. The court also clarified that UPC territorial competence follows the UPC Agreement rather than Brussels I Regulation amendments. It also held that a patent must be granted — not just registered for unitary effect — before a UPC action can be filed.See court document attached....
