Vivendi questions EU law on merger-related requests for information

The French company's plea will face a response from the Council, which is intervening to support the Commission, at an upcoming hearing.Vivendi and the Council of the EU — the institution that represents member states — are set to clash on the legality of the EU merger rule related to requests for information, according to a document recently released by the institution (see here)....
