China's Hunan regulators intensify crackdown on non-compliant mobile apps

In the first quarter, regulators zeroed in on the livelihood sector, conducting a targeted inspection of 100 mobile apps spanning healthcare, education, financial management and investment. They identified issues, including failure to disclose data collection rules, forced and frequent permission requests, and the overreach in personal data collection.
