Google and Wiz abandoned talks over a $23 billion deal last July, reportedly due to antitrust concerns. Aside from the $9 billion increase in the deal value and a hefty break fee, the companies may feel changes in US politics and the change in strategy of the UK’s competition authority mean Google’s largest acquisition to date is now doable. Google parent Alphabet has agreed to buy Israeli cloud cybersecurity startup Wiz for $32 billion in a renewed effort after the deal failed to come to fruition last year because of its terms and regulatory hurdles....
