Ganni bests Steve Madden in copyright dispute upheld by Danish High Court

Expert testimony agreed the shoe's design expresses the designer's free and creative choices. The court also ruled that the shoe is protected under marketing law given its prominent market position.The Danish High Court has upheld an injunction against Steve Madden Ltd. and Steve Madden Europe B.V., ruling, that their Grand Ave shoe infringes the copyright and marketing rights of Ganni’s Buckle Ballerina design....
