US judge rejects Amazon move for reconsideration of e-books case order

( March 18, 2025, 04:36 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A New York federal judge denied Amazon's motion for reconsideration, and motion for leave to file an interlocutory appeal, of a March 2024 order granting in part and denying in part Amazon's motion to dismiss antitrust claims from purchasers of e-books. Amazon moved for reconsideration and, in the alternative, for certification for an interlocutory appeal of that order, contending that plaintiffs’ remaining claims must be dismissed because they have failed to adequately plead antitrust standing. But because "Amazon’s motion is, at base, an attempt to relitigate issues decided by the Court, it is denied," US District Judge Gregory Woods wrote in an order. See judge's order. ...
