Pac-12, Mountain West Conference US antitrust case stayed

( March 17, 2025, 22:38 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Magistrate Judge Susan van Keulen of the US District Court for the Northern District of California granted a motion to stay the antitrust dispute of the Pac-12 Conference and the Mountain West Conference while the parties engage in mediation. According to the judge's order, the case is stayed until May 16. The Pac-12 Conference sued the Mountain Western Conference for allegedly imposing a "Poaching Penalty" to inhibit competition for member schools in collegiate athletics.See docket entry below....
