US states oppose Florida price-fixing settlement’s MFN clause with drugmakers

( March 17, 2025, 21:28 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Twenty states, the District of Columbia and the US Virgin Islands objected to a most favored nation clause included in a generic drug price-fixing settlement between the Florida Attorney General, Sandoz, Novartis and others. “Through this provision, the proposed settlement places an arbitrary, diminished value on the claims of the rest of the States with no corresponding benefit and has the practical effect of significantly delaying or preventing a settlement between the States and Settling Defendants for almost four years, despite the current stage of litigation,” the states said in an opposition filed with the District of Connecticut.See attached file....
