US files reply to dismiss union suit over DOGE data collection at CFPB, DOL

( March 14, 2025, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Department of Justice filed a reply in support of its motion to dismiss a lawsuit brought by federal workers unions and nonprofits against multiple US agencies including the Department of Labor and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau attempting to stop the data collection activities by the Department of Governmental Efficiency in those agencies. It said that the complaint seeks to elevate what is, at most, an issue with whether federal agencies chose the correct formal onboarding mechanism for individuals who are employees at DOGE prior to giving them access to records systems, into a basis for prohibiting such employees from ever working at the agencies.See attached file. ...
