Swenters loses appeal of rejected antitrust complaint at EU court

His complaint contested the commission's decision not to investigate alleged infringements of competition law by sand-extraction companies including Sibelco, Cimenteries, HeidelbergCement and Hülskens. In today's judgment, the court said the EU executive had provided sufficient reason to support its decision not to investigate, and had justified its claim that the matter would be better looked into by Belgian courts or authorities.The judgment is attached.
