US automakers fail to get Massachusetts right-to-repair law blocked

( February 11, 2025, 16:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A US federal judge ruled that a Massachusetts law requiring carmakers to provide data access to independent repair shops is not preempted by federal law. The court found the Alliance for Automotive Innovation, which filed the lawsuit, lacked standing to sue and said it “has not met its burden to prove that the Data Access Law stands as an obstacle to the accomplishment and execution of the full purposes and objectives of Congress with respect to” federal laws.See attached file....
