Apple says Google's revised deal with the US DOJ singles it out

( March 13, 2025, 23:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Apple wrote to an appeals court to say that the US Department of Justice’s revised judgment proposal in its Internet monopolization case against Google still singles out Apple for unique and disfavored treatment, requiring it be allowed to intervene in the case. Apple said that while other third parties are permitted to receive payment for placement on choice screens under certain conditions, Apple alone is barred from receiving any “payments for choice screens.” Additionally, the new judgment does nothing to fix the difficult choice left to Apple to either limit distribution of Google Search, harming both users and Apple, or to distribute Google for free, thereby providing Google a competitive advantage.See attached file. ...
