Japan's Toyota Tsusho trading company to buy US-based Radius Recycling for $907 million

( March 14, 2025, 03:43 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Japan’s Toyota Tsusho, a trading firm affiliated with Toyota Motor, has agreed to purchase all shares of Radius Recycling, based in Portland, Oregon, for approximately $907 million. The Nagoya City-based trading firm plans to acquire Radius, which is listed on NASDAQ, to strengthen its recycling business in North America. A wholly-owned subsidiary of Toyota Tsusho America will merge with Radius, with Radius becoming the surviving entity after the merger. Toyota Tsusho aims to close the deal by September 2025, pending approval at Radius’ shareholders meeting, receipt of regulatory approvals and the satisfaction of other customary closing conditions.
