Before USITC, Ericsson again downplays impact of UK appellate ruling

( March 13, 2025, 19:21 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A notice by Lenovo alerting the US International Trade Commission to a February UK Court of Appeals decision which directed Ericsson to enter into an interim fair, reasonable and nondiscriminatory cross-license “is not supplemental authority of any kind,” Ericsson said. In a response brief, Ericsson urged rejection of Lenovo’s “plea for the United States International Trade Commission to abdicate its statutory duty to adjudicate unfair competition in the United States to the UK,” characterizing the UK appellate decision as non-binding and “of little evidentiary value to the ITC anyway.” That stance was echoed in an earlier filing by Ericsson in a separate investigation initiated by Lenovo's subsidiary Motorola Mobility.See attached document....
