Copyright row over English translation of Hebrew song will go to trial in US

While the Hebrew lyrics and music have entered the public domain, an Oregon man says the English lyrics have not, and that he is their co-author. The case pits Ronnie Kahn against the daughters of the late Shlomo Carlebach, with whom Kahn received a copyright registration for the work in 1975.Litigation over the song “Return Again” will proceed in New York, with a federal judge finding too much in dispute to grant dueling requests for summary judgment....
