Review of UK cybersecurity code of practice suggests new language, more awareness

( March 5, 2025, 17:05 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A report reviewing the UK’s draft Cyber Governance Code of Practice recommends that the government adjust the language on the code to help users better understand its implementation. The independent report, by Arculus Cyber Security — commissioned by the government to deliver user testing of the code — also suggests promoting awareness through industry associations. The voluntary code of practice, initially proposed in January 2024, lists actions that companies can adopt to take responsibility for individual regulatory obligations when cybersecurity incidents occur, as well as recommendations on preventing cyber threats.Statement follows.
