MediaTek, Future Link fail to get most of Realtek's US antitrust case dismissed

( March 7, 2025, 23:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: MediaTek and Future Link must face trimmed US antitrust claims over semiconductors, a federal judge ruled. US District Judge P. Casey Pitts said that Realtek’s allegation that the companies’ behavior contributed to  rising costs is plausible, especially given MediaTek’s alleged market share. “Realtek alleges that it lost money and time for research and development because of the lawsuits, and that this directly harmed consumers by causing raised prices and a disruption in innovation,” Pitts wrote in the opinion. Pitts did conclude that the Noerr-Pennington doctrine bars MediaTek’s conspiracy claim.See attached file. ...
