Federal Circuit affirms AliveCor heart sensor patents invalid

( March 7, 2025, 20:23 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Appeals Court for the Federal Circuit affirmed that three AliveCor patents for heart sensors are invalid due to obviousness following an inter partes review challenge by Apple. AliveCor accused Apple of infringing its patents in a US International Trade Commission investigation into violations of Section 337 of the Tariff Act in 2021. The commission found Apple in violation of Section 337, but that decision was vacated and remanded by the Federal Circuit, given the patent invalidity.See attached file....
