One bill seeks to prevent cyberattacks by fostering collaboration between the government and the private sector and establishing a centralized policy headquarters. It will permit the monitoring of communications information, subject to preliminary approval and ongoing supervision by an independent organization. The second bill aims to prevent serious cyber threats by authorizing police forces to conduct neutralizing operations.
