Google privacy appeal win should be reversed, Texas AG tells Supreme Court

The state Supreme Court filing argues that the stakes are high for Texas privacy enforcement efforts, which in recent months have been among the most active in the US, involving enforcement cases against TikTok, General Motors and Allstate in addition to Google.Texas’ attorney general asked the state’s top court to rule Google privacy allegations can be decided in Texas courts, arguing that a recent appeals court decision would allow Google to “run a private surveillance state over Texans” without oversight by in-state courts....
