XVideos must still comply with ad repository duties in EU appeal loss

( March 6, 2025, 12:55 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: WebGroup Czech Republic, the operator of pornography platform XVideos, has lost its appeal at the top EU court to have temporary relief for a duty to publish a publicly accessible database of its advertisers under the Digital Services Act. Last July, in the case against the European Commission, WGCR lost an initial bid at the lower court for interim exemption from the duty while appealing the imposition of the duty brought by the commission designating XVideos as a VLOP in December 2023. The site complied and established a repository. WGCR cannot appeal again and must pay costs. The main case continues.Decision follows:...
