Virginia data center, Amazon ties, not enough to keep Audible in US patent case

That was enough to secure Audible’s dismissal from an infringement action by AudioPod IP yesterday, but Amazon will remain a defendant following the rejection of a challenge to the eligibility of five media streaming patents.Reliance on an Amazon Web Services data center located in Virginia is “not enough to establish the Eastern District of Virginia as an appropriate venue for Audible,” a federal judge there held yesterday....
