US court denies Lopez's motion to postpone March 24 trial in DOJ wage-fixing suit

( March 4, 2025, 21:49 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A US federal court denied defendant Eduardo Lopez's motion to continue a March 24 jury trial in a Department of Justice antitrust lawsuit indicting him of conspiring to fix the wages of Las Vegas nurses and fraudulently concealing the conspiracy so that he could sell his company for more than $10 million. Lopez, a health care staffing executive, asked for the trial to be pushed back alleging the DOJ had not produced all of the evidence. The DOJ opposed the request. At a hearing, the court heard arguments on the motion to continue the trial date and made preliminary remarks, according to a docket entry in the District of Nevada. "As stated on the record, the Court Denies 508 Motion to Continue Trial Dates. The Court addresses trial schedule," the docket said.Docket text follows...
