Lenovo Group Limited bid for mandamus relief denied by US appellate court

( March 4, 2025, 16:57 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: In a nonprecedential order by Judges Richard Taranto, Raymond Chen and Leonard Stark, the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit said consolidated petitions by Lenovo Group Limited fail to satisfy the high hurdle for mandamus relief. Instead, the Federal Circuit observed, any claimed injury to LGL can be remedied on a post-judgment appeal, and the matter does not qualify as urgent. The requests were intended to undo findings last fall by a federal judge in Texas that personal jurisdiction exists over LGL, who stands accused of infringing more than a dozen patents by Universal Connectivity Technologies Inc. and Eireog Innovations Ltd.See attached document....
