UK public support new online safety act, child safety campaign group says

Almost two-thirds support stricter safety policies, even if at the expense of tech investment, the study found. The first main part of the existing law comes into effect on March 17, but the campaign group highlights the regulator’s lack of measures to tackle the online promotion of suicide and self-harm in its code of practice.Statement attached....
