Gucci should get $1.3 million in damages in Lord & Taylor trademark suit, judge holds

Gucci sued L&T in 2023 alleging the company sold counterfeit Gucci handbags.Lord & Taylor should be held in default and ordered to pay $1.3 million for selling counterfeit Gucci handbags and belts, a Southern District of New York magistrate judge recommended last week in a trademark infringement suit. The recommended award is far less than the maximum statutory damages, enhanced for willfulness, sought by Gucci....
