Google moves to dismiss Sensory's amended US antitrust claims

( February 24, 2025, 17:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Google told a US federal judge that Sensory’s amended antitrust complaint again alleges injury in the same search-related markets but with a litany of conclusory allegations claiming it has suffered injury in nine additional markets. Sensory is accusing Google of keeping out competition for voice-based search to maintain its monopoly over search. “In an effort to establish antitrust standing, Sensory offers vague, shifting, and ultimately implausible definitions of the nine additional product markets alleged in its amended complaint. Even accepting Sensory’s implausible market definitions, it is nevertheless apparent on the face of the amended complaint that Sensory lacks antitrust standing in these ill-defined markets,” Google said.
