ACQIS suit against Taiwanese manufacturer for Apple, others, to proceed in US

Hon Hai, based in Taiwan, argued unsuccessfully that the accused System-on-a-Chip, or SoC, and processors in Apple products that they manufactured and imported were instead made by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, Samsung or Intel.Motions to dismiss by Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., doing business as Foxconn, were denied yesterday by a US judge in Texas, who rejected their invocation of a limited safe harbor provision within The Patent Act for innocent importation....
