US judge directs HMD Global, Samsung to meet and confer over discovery request

Cousins of the Northern District of California ordered HMD Global and Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., Samsung Electronics America, Inc. and Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. to meet and confer on a request by HMD for information on Samsung's 2019 settlement of patent infringement claims by Huawei. The magistrate judge gave the parties until April 4 to file a joint discovery letter brief and make their respective requests for a protective order, if necessary. See attached document....
