Google gets Unlockd's US antitrust suit over mobile advertising dismissed

( February 20, 2025, 23:30 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Google won its motion to dismiss the antitrust lawsuit filed by Unlockd Media, a now defunct digital advertising startup in Australia, over mobile advertising that involved a smartphone app created by Unlockd available on Android devices. "In short, Plaintiff still offers nothing more than its repeated assertion that it was an innovative business and would have been a threat to Google in the Digital Advertising Market absent Google’s alleged conduct. Such unsupported conclusions are simply insufficient to allege antitrust injury," US District Judge Haywood Gilliam of the Northern District of California said.Docket entry follows below.
