EU's UPC grants Abbott preliminary injunction against Sibionics’ glucose monitor

The appellate court overturned a prior decision denying the injunction, finding Abbott’s patent likely valid and infringed. While the court upheld Abbott’s enforcement rights across UPC member states, it rejected its request to extend the injunction to Ireland.Abbott Diabetes Care Inc. was granted a preliminary injunction against Sibionics at the EU's Unified Patent Court....
