Cisco ‘Catalyst’ switches cleared by UPC in infringement action by Lionra
By Melissa Ritti ( February 20, 2025, 15:21 GMT | Insight) -- The Unified Patent Court in Hamburg yesterday confirmed the validity of a Lionra Technologies patent directed to data package processing, but found the same patent not infringed by Cisco’s Catalyst 9000 family of network switches, in a win for the US-based tech conglomerate. The parties are also litigating in the US, with briefing completed last month in Lionra’s bid to undo a Texas federal judge’s determination that its agreement with RPX Corp. bars an infringement action over Cisco products containing Intel processors.
