( February 20, 2025, 12:23 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Abbott Diabetes Care Inc. has won a preliminary injunction against SiBio Technology Limited at the Unified Patent Court, in a decision published today. The UPC Court of Appeal set aside the lower court's earlier order which had denied injunctive relief, and blocked sales of Sibionics’ GS1 continuous glucose monitoring device in multiple European countries where Abbott’s EP 3,831,283 is in force while the dispute remains active. The UPC ordered a penalty of 10,000 euros per infringing product from SiBio, or an alternative penalty of 100,000 euros per day of its non-compliance.See court document attached....
