HSBC ends EU court fight over Euribor fine but secures interest settlement

The litigation had targeted a second revised decision that the EU antitrust regulator adopted in 2021 after an earlier sanction was annulled.HSBC will not continue its fight through the EU courts against a fine of 31.7 million euros ($34 million) for manipulating benchmark Euribor interest rates. The bank said the matter was “closed.”...
