KKR completes two-sage tender offer to buy Japan’s Fuji Soft

( February 20, 2025, 09:08 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: US private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co, or KKR, announced today that it has successfully completed the second stage of its tender offer to acquire Japanese software company Fuji Soft. Combined with its first-stage tender, KKR will acquire a 59.72-percent stake in Fuji Soft, which is currently listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market. It plans to privatize the Yokohama-based company following the acquisition. The tender prices increased and the process was extended due to Bain Capital's attempt to purchase the Japanese software company. The statement is attached....
