US judge denies temporary restraining order against DOGE data collection at numerous agencies

( February 14, 2025, 23:51 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: US District Judge John Bates denied a request for a temporary restraining order halting employees of the the United States Digital Service — recently renamed to the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) — from accessing data systems of the US Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau under the Privacy Act of 1974. Bates found that the DOGE employees were adequately detailed to the agencies and are following government protocols, which would not put them in violation of the privacy law governing US agencies.See attached file....
