Orange España faces EUR1.2 million GDPR fine for illegal access to SIM card

Orange failed to verify the identity of a person, who obtained a duplicate of a data subject's SIM card without proper ID verification. The unauthorized person later also stole 9,000 euros from the data subject's bank accounts.
