Netflix bid for litigation funding info fails, but no sanctions ahead

The streaming service saw its request for information from Steven J. Rizzi on his personal investment in a Robocast affiliate and communication with third-party litigation funders quashed by US Magistrate Judge Christopher J. Burke. Netflix won’t be sanctioned in connection with its efforts, though, with Burke noting Rizzi had a role at Robocast “that seems different than the role your typical outside patent litigation counsel might play.”McKool Smith attorney Steven J.
