Altana, Brevent misappropriated Illiquidx trade secrets, UK court rules

The High Court ruled this morning that the defendants misused Illiquidx’s trade secrets when establishing a sanctions-compliant fund for exploiting undervalued Venezuelan debt. Copyright claims by Illiquidx came up short, however, with the judge ruling that a portion of a slide show copied by Altana and Brevent was too insubstantial to be actionable.A three-way venture between investment adviser Illiquidx, fund manager Altana Wealth and consultancy Brevent Advisory that went awry and ended up in a UK court has yielded a judgment largely in favor of plaintiff Illiquidx....
