S.C. Johnson & Sons convinces UKIPO to nix ‘Mr. Strong’ trademark

Evidence to the contrary by the owner of the disputed mark was not enough for the UK Intellectual Property Office, who gave little weight to sales by Y&R International on China’s e-commerce websites AliExpress and Alibaba.com.A trademark registration for “Mr. Strong” has been revoked by the UK Intellectual Property Office — not for confusion with Proctor & Gamble’s “Mr. Clean” trademark, but for non-use, in response to an opposition lodged by S.C. Johnson & Sons....
